After a four year silence, The Lumineers have graced us with their second album; Cleopatra, and we cannot contain our excitement. The simple yet commanding beat that we so loved in ‘Ho Hey’ and ‘Submarine’ makes its way to Cleopatra in songs like ‘Ophelia’ and ‘Angela’. But with a playful twist added through the vocals of lead singer, Wesley Schultz, this album has quickly become as infectious as their first. The album takes the listener on a journey that we weren’t necessarily aware of, but are grateful for nonetheless. By and large, The Lumineers put to rights the ‘injustice’ of having to wait for years, by creating a flawless sequel to their musical epic.
